Poppy’s Therapeutic Corner has been designated to provide mental health services to adults and children in Hamilton County. Poppy’s Therapeutic Corner provides individual, couple and family therapy to clients in need of mental health services. Their mission and purpose is provide quality care to clients with a view of the whole person. Thus, the care is tailored to the specific needs of the individual. Poppy’s Therapeutic Corner firmly believes that the client is an active, collaborative member in his or her treatment and encourages this participation throughout the entire therapeutic process. Their hours are 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8:00 am-3:00 pm on Saturdays. During the therapeutic relationship, they will set many goals for the outcome of counseling. Some will be short-term (such as what you would like to discuss in a given session). Some will be long-term (like lessening feelings of discomfort and improving the overall quality of your life). These goals will be set by you according to what you want to accomplish. They will work with you in establishing these goals and of course, work with you toward achieving them. You will have the control and will ultimately determine which direction that the work done together will take. Their philosophy is to provide leadership and services in a community-wide effort to foster positive, optimal mental health and to assist the community to find ways to prevent, reduce, and minimize the residual effects of mental health problems. In addition, they believe that the provision of services should be available and accessible to everyone within our catchment area without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, or handicap. They believe that appropriate efforts to resolve mental health issues and problems in the community is best achieved in a partnership between the community and the mental health practice. Poppy’s Therapeutic Corner services will include sensitivity to ethnic and cultural differences among those served. They will promote freedom of choice among therapeutic alternatives for the consumer receiving services. No consumer or family served will be denied access to any service based on their refusal to accept other services recommended by the agency.
